Eric Church and Chris Stapleton are tied for the most nominations at this year’s CMA Awards, earning five nods each in categories including Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year.
The nominations, which were announced on Sept. 9, also include “I Hope” singer Gabby Barrett with four nominations in categories including Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year.
Miranda Lambert earned three nominations and remains the most-nominated female act in the history of the show with a total of 58 nominations. She broke the record previously held by Reba McEntire, who has 51 nominations, in 2020. Lambert, an Entertainer of the Year nominee, is now tied with singer Brad Paisley for third place in overall CMA Award nominations.
The artists up for Entertainer of the Year include Lambert, Church, Stapleton, Luke Combs and Carrie Underwood.
The 55th annual CMA Awards will air Wednesday, Nov. 10, live on ABC at 8pm (ET).
