Battle For The Jam Returns to Thirsty Cowboy

on

Thirsty Cowboy in Medina will host the Battle For The Jam starting on Thursday, July 5, with preliminary round competition for three weeks and the Finals on Thursday, July 26.

The Battle hosts two bands each week who perform for votes from the judges and the audience at the event. After the preliminary rounds are complete, the two bands with the highest overall scores meet for the finals.

Some of the judging criteria includes – Music (content and performance); Stage Presence and Crowd Interaction (overall performance and how well the band ignites the crowd); Appearance and Personality (overall look and personality on stage/interaction with crowd); and the biggest factor is Crowd Applause (ability to get the crowd to react to the performance).

The winner earns the right to perform at the Thirsty Cowboy Saloon at the WGAR Country Jam at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds on August 18 and will be added as the opener for a national act during Thirsty Cowboy’s 2018-2019 concert season, as well as,  a spot in the line up on the Main Stage at the 2019 Country Jam.

The winning band also receives tickets to the Country Jam for their families and friends, a custom stage backdrop and will be booked for a Saturday night this fall at Thirsty Cowboy.
