Carly Pearce shares unreleased song “Didn’t Do”

Carly Pearce has been through heartbreak over the past year and in a new unreleased song, “Didn’t Do,” she reveals a little about the emotions she felt at the time. (Watch the video performance below)

The country singer filed for divorce from Michael Ray in June of last year, after only 8 months of marriage. She had said that she would keep the details of their personal life private, and sings in the ballad “I’ve got my side of the story, and he’s got his side, too…I ain’t gonna go and tell you what he did, but I’ll tell you what he didn’t do.”

Co-written by Pearce, Ashley Gorley and Emily Shackelton, the song explains that she was not loved the way she needed to be..

“The devil’s in the details/I won’t tell the hell that he put me through,” Pearce sings in the video which brought cheers and applause from the crowd.

Pearce took home her first CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year in November, the 30-year-old singer revealed that 2020 was “the hardest year of my life and to see the way that country music has had my back the whole time is something that has saved me in a lot of ways.”
