As Chris Cagle co-wrote “What A Beautiful Day,” it’s easy to imagine him pouring emotions from his life into the lyrics. The song about a man who meets his true love starts on ‘day one’ and ends on ‘day eighteen thousand two hundred and fifty three’ (fifty years), not only has become the theme song for many weddings, but was also a Top 5 hit on the country charts.
Cagle always pours his heart into each performance of the song, but one night at Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio, saw the singer visibly moved by the lyrics and the reaction from the sold out crowd. As Cagle starts to sing hundreds of voices join in, making him visibly moved to tears and unable to sing during parts of the song. The crowd continues with the sing along as he wipes tears from his eyes before regaining his composure to finish out the song.
