Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks has added shows on April 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd and 24th, to the original April 23rd performance announced last week.

The concerts, which will all take place in Value City Arena/Schottenstein Center, will begin at 7 p.m. except for the April 16th show, which will start at 8:30.

Brooks’ wife, Trisha Yearwood, will also perform.

Tickets for all six concerts are priced at $74.98 each (including fees), and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, February 26th at Ticketmaster via telephone or the Internet only. Tickets will be available only online or by phone. In-person sales via Ticketmaster outlets won’t begin until Saturday February 27th.

Tickets are limited to eight per purchase. To help speed things up, prospective buyers are asked to visit www.ticketmaster .com/garthbrooks and click on “on sale tips.”

With the extra days in central Ohio, Brooks will be able to experience all the changes that have taken place in the nearly 20 years since he last performed there. In fact, his previous concert venue no longer exists, at least not in its earlier form.

Brooks last performed in Columbus at Cooper Stadium in 1997 when his six concerts drew an estimated 95,000 fans. The site is now slated to become the SPARC auto racing complex.

 

Frankie Ballard

Frankie Ballard will perform at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio on Wednesday, May 18th at 7:00pm.

Ballard, who is hot on the heels after three chart toppers is touring in support of his yet to be titled third album and the first single released, “It All Started With A Beer.” The song was penned by the Cadillac Three’s Jaren Johnston, who co-wrote Ballard’s 2014 chart-topper about another potent potable, “Sunshine & Whiskey.”

 

Drew Baldridge

Thirsty Cowboy in Medina welcomes Drew Baldridge for a show at the club on Saturday, February 27th at 8:00pm.

The country new comer and Illinois native has already built a solid career as a songwriter, and now hopes to stake his claim as a top-notch singer and performer as well. The singer released his debut EP, Dance With Ya on January 8th.

Drew’s singing career seems to be going well. His disco-flavored debut single, also called “Dance With Ya,” is already attracting attention with his rich baritone vocals and traditional country-meets-straight-up-pop sound

Thirsty Cowboy will welcome David Nail and his “Nights On Fire” Tour on Saturday, March 19th at 8:00pm.

Nail, hit the top of the charts with “Let It Rain” in 2011 and also  had Top Ten hits with “Red Light” and “Whatever She’s Got.”

His current single on the radio, the title track, “Nights On Fire,” from his latest album, has been steadily climbing the charts

 

Country Rap Fest

Wolf Bridge Mud Park in Wayne, Ohio will be hosting three days of music, camping and mud park fun at Country Rap Fest 2016 June 9th – 11th.

Performing Thursday, June 9th, are The Lacs, Sarah Ross, Charley Farley and Sean Williams; Friday, June 10th it’s Colt Ford,  Moonshine Bandits, Moccasin Creek, Lenny Cooper and Brent Lowery; Saturday, June 11th Big Smo,  Demun Jones, Jawga Boyz, Bottleneck and Redneck Souljers.
