Devin Dawson has been keeping busy ever since the release of his debut album, Dark Horse. The California native toured with Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Brett Eldredge in 2018 and started his Stray Off Course Tour last fall. Dawson has now added more stops to the tour in 2019 with special guest Jillian Jacqueline. The tour makes a stop at Thirsty Cowboy in Medina on February 23.
Jacqueline, who joins the tour on January 31 in New York, appears on Dark Horse with “I Can’t Trust Myself, a duet with Dawson. The singer/songwriter will also embark on a 6-city run of shows in the UK with label mates, Dan + Shay.
Dawson created Songs In the Key of F, an extended 12-part video series chronicling that creative process (WATCH HERE). On Friday (12/14), fans will also be able to listen to all 12 stripped-down tracks on Spotify as Dark Horse (Songs In The Key of F).
In the series trailer, Dawson says “rather than just sitting in front of a camera and saying ‘this is why I wrote this song,’ I wanted to do something a little bit different. So what we’re doing is we’re going to go back to the place we wrote the song with the songwriters we wrote it with and kind of just talk about the day and how we kind of came to write this song, create this piece of art.”
Dawson also released and recorded his first holiday song, “Christmas Time is Here,” which is featured exclusively on the Spotify Singles: Christmas Collection playlist. (LISTEN HERE).
“Dark Horse,” the title track to Dawson’s critically-acclaimed debut LP released earlier this year, is his latest single that will be released to country radio on Monday, December 10.
