Gary Allan Set For Hard Rock Rocksino on February 3

on

Gary Allan grew up in Southern California and performed with his father’s band in the honky tonks of the region when he was 12 years old. Later, Allan would form his own band and return to those same clubs with a sound that was distinctively true to the Bakersfield Country movement of such artists as Merle Haggard and Buck Owens.  In his twenties he would hone that new traditionalist sound until he was signed by Decca Records in 1996. He would later sign with MCA Nashville and been with the label ever since.

Allan will bring his unique style and a voice that has been called “raspy and unpolished” to his show on Friday, February 3 at the Hard Rock Rocksino at Northfield Park.

In his twenty years on the charts Allan has released nine albums which have produced 26 singles that have made their way on to the Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts including his #1 singles “Man To Man” in 2002; “Tough Little Boys” in 2003; “Nothing On But The Radio” in 2004 and “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)” in 2012.

Seven more of Allan’s singles have reached the Top Ten including “Watching Airplanes” which made it all the way to #2. Other notables on that list also include “Life Ain’t Always Beautiful,” “The One” and “Right Where I Need To Be.”

Though Allan has had it tough at times staying true to a more traditional sound, his legion of fans adore him for it. He was named “Country’s Music’s Sexy Star” by People Magazine and also made his mark as an actor in the TV mini-series Shake, Rattle, & Roll, playing the lead role of Eddie Cochran. He followed that role with a part in the TV series Pensacola: Wings of Gold.

Gary Allan will be performing at the Hard Rock Rocksino’s Hard Rock Live on Friday, February 3 at 8:00pm. Tickets are $50.00/$63.50/$69.50 and are available at the Rocksino Box Office, Ticketmaster.com, LiveNation.com, and all Ticketmaster outlets or by phone (800)745-3000. All Hard Rock Shows are 21 & over only.
