Kacey Musgraves, 29, married fiancé Ruston Kelly on Saturday evening in Tennessee, and earlier this morning (Oct. 17) she shared the first of her wedding photos. (see below)
“Saturday, in a sacred place where two rivers meet and join together, I married my best friend … barefoot and surrounded by the deepest kind of magic and love that exists. I’ve never felt so tranquil and happy,” Musgraves wrote on Instagram Tuesday morning, sharing photos from the wedding.
“We made our promises to each other under the trees and then drank and danced into the night. We couldn’t have done any of it without the help of our wonderful families and amazing friends.”
“The best kind of magic. Best day of my life,” added her folk singer/songwriter husband, captioning a set of photos of himself with his new wife.
Before the wedding Musgraves teased about the event on Twitter, posting “Today,” followed by a bride emoji and hearts. Meanwhile Ruston wrote, “Last night as a bachelor. Finally ready to throw in that towel cuz I actually found the real thing. Couldn’t be more proud to have all our family and friends here to honor this new badass union.”
The couple first got together in 2016, and got engaged last Christmas Eve. Musgraves broke the exciting engagement news on Instagram, writing, “I didn’t say yes…I said HELL YESSSS!!!”
“Last night the best man I’ve ever met got down on one knee in my little pink childhood home,” Musgraves added alongside a photo of her ring in front of the Christmas tree. “In the same room I played with my ponies and barbies and asked me the easiest question I’ve ever been asked. I finally know what everyone means when they say, ‘You just know.’
