Kane Brown to Fund Renovation of Cleveland Boys & Girls Club

on

Kane Brown stopped by the Boys & Girls Club on Broadway Ave. in Cleveland before his concert at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Sunday (Nov. 21). The singer was there to announce that he will be funding a renovation project for the club’s gymnasium.

“I grew up without a lot of things as well. When I found the Boys & Girls Club, this is somewhere I would have wanted to have been as a kid. There is no telling where I would have staying out of trouble if I didn’t have sports,” Brown stated in an interview. “I love basketball and we get to give these kids a new gym today and I think it’s amazing and I hope they love it.”

Brown has already renovated the Boys & Girls Club in his hometown of Chatanooga, TN, and last year made a donation of $100,000 to the organization. The money was generated from sales of his song “Worldwide Beautiful,” fulfilling his pledge when the song was released in June 2020 that proceeds would benefit the organization.

Brown toured the facility and left his autograph on the first section of gym flooring. He also presented a signed guitar to Broadway Club Director Joseph Greathouse, that will be put into use by the members of the club..

“We are grateful and humbled. Country music star Kane Brown today announced he is funding a complete renovation of our Broadway Club gymnasium. Brown toured the Club, chatted with our kids and even played basketball with them in advance of his concert at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse,” – from the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Ohio statement.

The renovation will include the installation of new flooring, audio and electric equipment, backboards and bleachers. Before completion, the club will be repainted and the scoreboard will be updated.

Brown said that he would be back to reopen the gym during the NBA All Star Game, which will be held Feb. 20 in Cleveland.
