Keith Urban made a visit to a special fan at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center on Thursday (10/18) before playing at Toledo’s Huntington Center as part of his Graffiti U World Tour.
The family and nurses of Marissa English, a 25-year-old fan who was born with a number of health conditions, were attempting to reach Urban in advance of his trip to Toledo. They began a social media campaign to orchestrate a visit from Marissa’s favorite singer when her health began to decline. Their efforts were rewarded when Urban made the visit.
“I made a very special trip today to Mercy Health Children’s Hospital,” later at his concert he announced with Marissa’s family present. “I think I met my absolute No. 1 fan today — Marissa. I’d like to dedicate this show to her.”
