Lady Antebellum’s New Single “You Look Good”

on

After taking a hiatus in 2016, Lady Antebellum is back with a their funky and upbeat new single “You Look Good.” The song picks up right where the group left off before their time off, they just sound like they’re having more fun.

“We’ve always loved experimenting with different instruments and sounds in the studio, but we’ve never used horns before,” Dave Haywood says in a press release. “The energy they brought to this song is really fun and was validation for all three of us that it had to be our first single back.”

You can listen to the lyric video of “You Look Good” below that shows the band having fun with a Polaroid camera and recording new music in the studio.

“There’s also something contagious about the chorus that will be perfect in our live shows this year,” Kelley says. “We knew after the time off that we wanted to get back out on the road in a big way. We couldn’t be more ready to get back out there with the fans and hopefully make a few new ones too.”

Lady Antebellum was on on hiatus since the fall of 2015, taking time off for solo projects like Hillary Scott’s Christian album Love Remains and Charles Kelley’s solo album The Driver. Dave Haywood spent most of his time off working on his production skills.

The group did come together to perform during the time off, including an appearance at the 2016 CMA Music Festival, where the trio dropped hints about the new music that was coming soon.

“You Look Good” is Lady Antebellum’s first single from the upcoming Heart Break album due to be released on June 9. The song will officially be going for adds at Country radio starting Monday, January 23.

They also announced the 65-city “You Look Good World Tour,” which will include a stop at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls on July 21 and will feature Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young as openers.
