Lance Stinson to Perform at Mosquito Lake August 13

on

Lance Stinson grew up in a small South Georgia town called Lumber City.  There he learned about hard work tending to the crops on his families farm with his brothers.  Those days were filled with music with everything from Keith Whitley, George Jones, Waylon Jennings and Conway Twitty.  His dad liked Hank Sr. and his brothers liked Hank Jr., and they also listened to heavy metal bands of the ’80’s including Poison and Def Leopard.

Stinson took all of that musical upbringing and brought it with him to his songwriting and performance.  His live shows are full of the country music you would expect from a kid that grew up in a rural Georgia, but his energy definitely has something to do with all of that rock and roll that influenced him, as well.

Stinson likes to call the kind of music he brings to the stage, “kick-in-the-teeth country.” “There’s still some traditional sound to it,” he says, “since I love story songs, but then it’s got that edge to it.”  He has been working on his performance at hundreds of clubs, fairs, festivals and honky tonks all over the country.  He has opened for many of country music’s acts of yesterday and today including Randy Houser, Travis Tritt, Luke Bryant, Brantley Gilbert, Colt Ford, Darryl Worley, Lee Brice, and many others; and has come to the attention of many national record executives. Stinson was also recently named the Country Male Artist of the Year at the 2016 Georgia Music Awards.

Stinson let’s his music do the talking when he is on stage and has many songs in his arsenal including “Watch This,”Country Never Goes Out Of Style,” “Whiskey,” “Twister” and his biggest hit to date Taillights & Dust.”

Lance Stinson will be performing at Mosquito Lake Marina  (1439 Wilson Sharpsville Road in Cortland, Ohio) on Saturday, August 13 at 5:00pm.  Tickets are $7 and the show will go on rain or shine!
