Local Band Spotlight: Georgia’s Casual Country Trio

on

Name of the Band/Act: Georgia’s Casual Country Trio

When did band form: 2016

Members: Georgia Kostyack – Lead Vocalist/Guitar; Tommy Amato – Drums and Dougie Lixx Manross – Lead Guitar/Vocalist.

About the band: Georgia has been singing since she was three years old and about three years ago her Papa bought her a guitar and she began taking lessons from one of Northeast Ohio’s best-known guitarists Snake Rock, who has become a mentor for the young artist. It wasn’t long until she was learning how to write songs and fronting her own band Georgia and the Preachers. She released her debut EP, Six Shooter in 2014 and filmed a video for her song “Alone With You,” which was shot by award-winning California director/producer/promoter Dan Catullo, who has worked with everyone from Rush to Matchbox Twenty. The accomplishments seem even more remarkable when you find out she was only 16 years old at the time.

She formed her latest group, The Casual Country Trio a little over six months ago. She knew of Amato and Manross through her contacts with Snake Rock and Billy Morris who are both long-time musicians in the Cleveland music scene. The group has been playing local Cleveland music venues and bars including The New Front Row, Rock Creek Kitchen And Bar and Caribbean Cowboy. They will be performing after the Lake Erie Crushers game this Saturday, July 1 and will travel to Nashville in July to perform at the Commodore and Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge. She will release her new single “What’s Goin’ On?” on July 8 at her show at Huron Point Tavern.

Georgia has also had the honor to perform the National Anthem at a Cleveland Indians game, Lake Erie Monsters games and will be performing it at a Detroit Tigers game this September.

Why you should see their show: The Casual Country Trio performs mainstream Country with a rock and roll edge. The high energy and talented group plays covers by Country acts including Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and rock covers by acts like Joan Jett, ZZ Top and Pat Benatar. They also perform several of the originals that Georgia has written. The band loves all types of music, but most of all love being on stage and performing and feel that the audience feeds off of their passion which you can easily feel when you see them live.
