Members: Dale Rogers – Lead Guitarist/Vocals; Kenn Hubbs – Bass; Ian Carmen – Drums; Craig Thomas – Guitar/Vocals and Amber Menegay – Vocals.
About the band: When Megaband was originally formed by Dale Rogers and Ian Carmen a few years ago. The original line up included their sister (Carrie Weidow), her husband (Tim Weidow), and family friends (Kenn Hubbs, Heather Bagley, Chris Kraft & Luke Rich). They were an 8-piece band and so the name “Mega” band was inspired.
After time, some of the members left to pursue other musical ventures and the remaining group members started a search to replace the vocalists. After some process of elimination, they found Craig Thomas and Amber Menegay who joined the band to form their current line up.
The Alliance, Ohio based band is best described as country rock. And while their set list contains mainly country, they also mix it up a little with some rock songs. With both female and male singers, they cover everyone from Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch and Thomas Rhett to Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris and Miranda Lambert.
With a high-energy modern country sound, Megaband is constantly being scheduled for shows all over Northeast and Central Ohio. They have performed at the Shaker Woods Festival, Wally Armour Jeep Jam, Yankee Lake Bootlegger’s, Kia of Alliance Customer Appreciation and will be returning to Guilford Lake Grille on Saturday, September 9 and will perform at the Johnny Appleseed Festival in Lisbon on Saturday, September 16.
Why you should see their show: Megaband brings the party wherever they perform. They not only cover today’s Top 40 country hits from both female and male artists, but do it with professional concert style lighting and sound. The energetic personalities and stage presence keeps the crowd engaged and entertained. Their goal is always to expand their appeal and fan base with their live entertainment, but the only way to get the full effect is to experience a show in person.
