Members: Ryan Michael – Lead Vocals; Dave Rudolph – Guitar; Joe Moyer – Drums; Jim Mumford – Bass and Bill Litten – Soundman/Crew Chief.
About the band: Ryan Michael & The Redneck Romeos play high energy Top 40 Country with Classic Rock, but will throw in some Garth Brooks or Johnny Cash if the crowd calls for it. The group formed when original bassist Jim Gibson saw Michael performing acoustically and called him to form a band. Gibson passed away only months after the group was formed, but Ryan Michael & The Redneck Romeos carried on. The band released their first single “Kick It With Me Tonight” last year and it is available on iTunes and Amazon. They hope to have their first full length album completed sometime in 2017.
The group loves to entertain and plays over 120 shows a year, mostly on Friday and Saturday in the winter, but in the summer they can be booked 3-4 times a week. They have played shows at clubs from their hometown of Canton to Cleveland to Akron to New Philadelphia and everywhere in between. They performed at last year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame VIP Party in Canton sharing the stage with Nashville recording artists Runaway June.
Why you should see their show: Ryan Michael & The Redneck Romeos get very interactive with the crowd. Their high energy show makes each show seem like a party and they take requests. “We Love requests and aren’t afraid to try songs we never played before” stated Michael. “That way even we never know exactly what’s going to happen…There’s always something to surprise everyone.” The band is also big on doing special things for their fan’s birthdays and go out of their way to make them a part of the show.”We often get messages ahead of shows letting us know who’s birthday it is,” Michael explained. “It’s great fun and people love being involved in the performance experience.”
