About the band: Shooter Sharp & The Shootouts are a high-energy, vintage country western & honky tonk music group. They feature a mix of original tunes and choice classic covers in their show and on their self titled debut album. The Shootouts debut album was recorded at Crushtone Studios in Cleveland with award winning engineer Jim Stewart in April of 2016. Originally meant to be a small set of demos, the group ended up recording ten songs in less than 24 hours.
Led by award-winning singer-songwriter Ryan Humbert, the Northeast Ohio based band has opened for Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jim Lauderdale, Radney Foster and many more. Since they formed the group has been performing all over the area including shows at Cain Park, The Music Box Supper Club, Canton First Friday, The Stark County Fair, The Kent Heritage Festival, The Kent Stage, The University of Akron, The House of Blues Cleveland, Stocker Arts Center and The Beachland Ballroom.
Shooter Sharp & The Shootouts were also invited to perform a headlining set at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in October 2016 for the American Music Masters weekend celebrating the music and life of Johnny Cash.
Their song “If I Could,” has been heard on 91.3 FM in Akron, 90.7 FM in Youngstown and on www.the330.net.
