About the band: Whiskey Loco is very Rock and Roll influenced. Most of the members had been in rock bands previously, and it really shows in their sound. But more importantly they consider themselves a good time party band. The Akron based band plays a lot of today’s modern country but also adds some classics to add some diversity and even have a 14-minute classic medley that people love. It includes everything from Alabama to Garth Brooks. Most of the music that the group plays would be considered and what they call “High Energy Country.” For Whiskey Loco though, it’s all about having a good time!

Even though the group is just over a year and a half old, they started playing shows at some of the larger bars in the area right from the start. There reputation quickly grew and they were even asked to play the Grand Opening of the Whiskey Ranch in Green earlier this year and will be back at the club to perform for their “New Year’s Eve Hoedown” on December 31.

Why you should see their show: It’s always a party. Whiskey Loco feels that when people go out on Friday or Saturday night what they really want is to dance, party and let out a few yee-haws. So they play the kind of music that emulates that. For that reason, they don’t play a whole lot of slow songs. As the band puts it – “We want to keep people on the dance floor so when they leave they’re exhausted (in a good way) and the next day they say to themselves “man what a great time and what a fun band!””
