Lonestar Set to Bring Hit Filled Show to Dusty Armadillo

on

When Lonestar takes the stage on Saturday at Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, they will have a long list of hit singles to choose from to perform starting with their first #1 in 1996, “No News.” The song was the group’s second single released from their self-titled debut album.

The band followed with another eight chart toppers on the Billboard Hot Country Singles with songs that include “Come Cryin’ to Me,” “Smile,” “What About Now,” “I’m Already There,” “My Front Porch Looking In,” “Mr. Mom” and the crossover hit “Amazed,” which spent eight weeks at the peak position in 1999. The song also became the first song to also top the Billboard Hot 100 chart since Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream” in 1983.

With a reputation for combining strong melodies with their exquisite harmonies, Lonestar, comprised of Richie McDonald (lead vocals), Michael Britt (lead guitar & backing vocals), Keech Rainwater (drums), and Dean Sams (keyboards & backing vocals), has amassed RIAA-certified sales in excess of ten million album units since their national launch in 1995. The band’s awards include a 1999 ACM Single of The Year for “Amazed” (the song also won the Song of the Year award), and the 2001 CMA Vocal Group of the Year.

Lonestar will be performing at Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown on Saturday, September 8.  Doors open at 7pm and showtime is 10pm. Tickets are $34/Advance and $39/Day of the Show and are available at DustyA.com.
