Maren Morris debuted the video for her latest single, “I Could Use a Love Song.” You can watch the full video below.

The video features Shelley Hennig who is known for her roles on MTV’s Teen Wolf and the soap opera Days of Our Lives and Garrett Hines of NCIS and The Big Short. In the video Hennig portrays an aspiring dancer who’s wants to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of making it big and Hines is the skeptical partner who’s holding her back. Their romance doesn’t end well when Hennig’s character decides to move away to pursue her dreams.

The story line in the “I Could Use a Love Song” music video is apparently a personal one for Morris. In a post to her Facebook page, the singer says that the making of the “I Could Use a Love Song” video wasn’t easy.

“It’s extremely personal to my story to getting to where I am today,” Morris says in the Facebook post. “It’s been a process, but thankfully, our amazing cast brought this chapter to life in such a raw way.”

Morris has announced that she will soon begin writing for her sophomore album. This fall, she’ll head back out on tour in support of her debut album, Hero, with the continuation of her Hero Tour.
