Maren Morris Delivers Powerhouse Vocals

on

It was a packed house on Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 at Quaker Steak & Lube in Sheffield, Ohio for the second Afternoon Saloon of Summer 2016. Not a seat to be found as The Caliber Band did a nice job getting the party started with covers of popular country tunes such as Little Big Town’s “Pontoon” and Kip Moore’s “Beer Money.” Everyone was singing along and having a great time and praying that the rain stayed away. (Which it did!)

Following Caliber’s set Brian Fowler (host of WGAR Morning Show) had the pleasure of introducing the artist everyone was there to see – Miss Maren Morris!

No. she may not have driven her “80’s Mercedes” to the show but she sure brought her powerhouse voice! Morris may me petite, but when the girl sings she sure commands the stage and her vocal range is heavenly. Not only did she sing some of her favorites of her brand new album HERO, including an audience request of “Rich,” Morris sang some of the tracks she had written for other artists.

When Morris started her journey in Nashville she started off as a songwriter with songs for Tim McGraw and Kelly Clarkson and others, and included Clarkson’s “Second Wind” in her set on Wednesday. Named “Nashville’s Next Pop Breakout Star” by Billboard, Maren Morris is definitely one that you don’t wanna miss!

But, if you did miss Maren Morris at the WGAR Afternoon Saloon, you have another chance to see her very soon! September 23rd 2016, Maren will play the WQMX Chicks with Picks 2016 at The Tangier in Akron, Ohio. She will be there with fellow on the verge artists Brooke Eden and Brandy Clark.

Now, this is an event you definitely won’t wanna miss!!
