on

New collaborative performances were announced by CMT for the upcoming 2017 CMT Music Awards. In addition, newly added solo performances and a new addition to the show’s Gregg Allman tribute. The cable network revealed all of the new performers in a press release on Monday, June 5.

Some of the newly announced 2017 CMT Music Awards performances include two collaborations: Luke Bryan, who was previously announced as a performer, will team up with Jason Derulo, which is a reprise of their CMT Crossroads episode. Their performance of “Want to Want Me” from that show is nominated for CMT Performance of the Year at this year’s awards show. Additionally, the Brothers Osborne and Peter Frampton will perform together for the first time ever.

The Firestone Stage will also welcome many new up-and-coming artists during the 2017 CMT Music Awards. Brett Young, Jon Pardi, Lauren Alaina, Midland and Chris Lane will all take that stage throughout the night. Young, Pardi and Alaina are all up for Breakthrough Video of the Year at this year’s awards show, while Midland are nominated for Group Video of the Year.

Previously announced 2017 CMT Music Awards performers include Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town and Kelsea Ballerini, as well as collaborations between Lady Antebellum and Earth, Wind and Fire, Florida Georgia Line and the Chainsmokers and Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. Following Gregg Allman’s death on May 27, a tribute performance featuring Jason Aldean, Lady A‘s Charles Kelley and Darius Rucker was added to the show’s schedule; Derek Trucks, a former Allman Brothers Band member, will also be part of the tribute.

The 2017 CMT Music Awards will take place in Nashville on Wednesday, June 7 and air live on CMT beginning at 8PM ET.
