Jamboree in the Hills Celebrates 40th Anniversary

on

While Ohio has its fair share of country music festivals spread throughout the summer, only one will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary this July! Set in the rolling hills of Morristown, Ohio, Jamboree In The Hills wraps up its fourth decade with a wide array of country music stars. Whether you’re a fan of the more traditional sounds from the seventies through the nineties, today’s modern styles of even “hick-hop,” the folks of Jambo have you covered!

Jamboree In The Hills kicks off on Thursday, July 14th with Brantley Gilbert headlining, supported by the likes of Trace Adkins and Gilbert’s “Dirt Road Anthem” co-writer, Colt Ford.

Friday night’s line-up features a truly wide range of country music, with Alan Jackson and newcomer William Michael Morgan delivering on the traditional end, Billy Currington’s barefooted, summer partying flavor and of course, the “American Bad Ass” himself, Kid Rock closing out the evening.

The longest day of Jambo weekend, Saturday’s line-up showcases two times as many acts as the rest of the festival. From 90’s great, John Berry (“Your Love Amazes Me,” “She’s Taken A Shine”), newcomers Tara Thompson and Brooke Eden, to country stars of today in Jake Owen, Easton Corbin and Brad Paisley, it’s going to be one heck of a party!

Sunday wraps the weekend long country music party with the most traditionally themed line-up of Jambo. Performances by legendary artists, The Gatlin Brothers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and John Anderson may very likely steal the entire show. Making his twentieth Jamboree appearance, Neal McCoy will be closing out the 40th Anniversary festivities.

Though the music itself doesn’t take off until Thursday, thousands of campers are expected to start pulling in on Monday to start the Jamboree experience off with a bang! Country music artist, Phil Vassar will also be performing a free “Kick-Off” concert on Wednesday the thirteenth.
