Rascal Flatts to Open Restaurant in Cleveland Flats

on

Back in 2016, Rascal Flatts announced that they would be opening a restaurant in Cleveland. Fast forward two years and that plan may finally happen with the opening of Rascal Flatts on the Flats East Bank. The tentative date of July 1 being set for the grand unveiling and will include a concert by the group during the opening weekend.

Discussions about the Rascal Flatts restaurants have actually been going on since 2012, with Cleveland originally planned to be the first. But, setbacks and delays have been a part of the project since day one and the restaurant group ended up opening their first location in Stamford, CT last year.

The Cleveland restaurant will boast a 10,000 sq. ft. space that will host plenty of the group’s memorabilia, along with a stage and dance floor. The menu offers many of the favorites and family recipes of the Rascal Flatts members – Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney (pictured below). The Stamford location has everything from buttermilk biscuits, mac and cheese and pork belly on their menu.

Rascal Flatts follows country stars who have opened restaurants and bars already, including Toby Keith (I Love This Bar & Grill), Dierks Bentley (Whiskey Row) and Alan Jackson (AJ’s Goodtime Bar). But, the trio states that their entry will be different.

“It’s really going to be fun family atmosphere, stated LeVox in a recent interview. “It’s just going to be great. It’s not like Toby’s, Honky Tonk bar.

“It’s more like a Jay Alexander’s with a stage in it,” DeMarcus added. “With memorabilia here and there. We’re excited about it. We’re not running it. There’s a group that came to us and pitched us this idea to license our names.”

The location in Stamford plays country music continuously, but also hosts live music every weekend and Line Dance Lessons weekly. The restaurant and bar hope to attract a great cross section of people with a friendly and inviting atmosphere that will offer great food and a comfortable bar and patio.

While the July date is what the restaurant management group is shooting for, construction delays could set it back a little further. Regardless of what the final date will be, we already know that Rascal Flatts will be spending time around Northern Ohio in August with two shows on their “Back to Us Tour” schedule – Blossom Music Center on the 17th and Bash On The Bay on Put-In-Bay on the 30th.
