Moonshine Bandits Bring the Outlaw Party to Ohio Bike Week 2026

I got three words for you: Red, White and Boozed!

On June 3, during Ohio Bike Week 2026, I had the privilege of catching up with the Moonshine Bandits, and one thing became immediately clear โ€” these guys are the real deal. High-energy, patriotic, hardworking, and down-to-earth, Tex and Bird have spent years building something completely their own in the world of country rap.

Growing up listening to both country and rap, the Moonshine Bandits always felt like the perfect combination. What started as two high school friends rapping at parties in California has grown into a worldwide touring act, recording and producing albums while building one of the most loyal fan bases in music. Hailing from California’s Central Valley, they’ve spent more than a decade blazing their own trail, creating a unique sound that combines outlaw country soul, hip-hop swagger, and backwoods attitude.

Their success hasn’t happened by accident. Through grit, hustle, and a dedication to their fans, the duo has built a movement known as the Shiner Nation. They’ve remained fiercely independent, refusing to fit into anyone else’s box while continuing to deliver music for those who live loud, drink proud, and ride hard.

The Bandits continue expanding their brand beyond music as well. Their fast-rising spirits label, Bucked Up Churro Whiskey, has become one of the hottest new products on the market, gaining traction with major beverage retailers across the country.

But on this night, it was all about the music.

When the Moonshine Bandits hit the stage, the crowd was hooked from the very first note. Opening with a powerful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, they immediately showed the audience exactly who they are and what they stand for. The patriotic introduction commanded attention and set the tone for an unforgettable night.

Shortly into the show, the duo paused to pay tribute to the legendary David Allan Coe, a moment that resonated deeply with the crowd before they launched back into their high-octane performance. From there, it was off to the races. Fans sang along to every word as Tex and Bird kept the audience engaged from start to finish, delivering hit after hit with nonstop energy.

The future remains bright for the Bandits. Their new album, “Handcuffs and Honkytonks,” is set for release in August, and fans already have another major event to look forward to with the 4th Annual Red, White and Boozed Cruise scheduled for May 2027.

After witnessing their performance firsthand, it’s easy to understand why their following continues to grow. Moonshine Bandits don’t just put on a concert โ€” they create an experience. If you get the chance to see them live, don’t pass it up.

The Moonshine Bandits have earned a permanent spot on my radio dial, and after Ohio Bike Week, I have a feeling they’ll remain there for a long time.
