Y-Live will return to Stambaugh Stadium in Youngstown this summer for two-days of Country Music!
Jason Aldean will perform on Friday, July 10 with special guest Travis Tritt. On Saturday, July 11, Eric Church will perform, with special guest Ernest.
“Absolute wonderful lineup, massive lineup,” said Eric Ryan, JAC Live president and CEO. “The biggest we have ever had and we are going to make history.”
Two-day discounted ticket packages will be available starting at $114.85. The presale begins at 10am on Jan. 28.
Single-day tickets start at $64.95 for Jason Aldean and Eric Church. A presale will take place from 10am until 10pm Jan. 29.
General ticket sales kick off Friday, Jan. 30 at 10am.
These summer shows mark a return to Stambaugh Stadium after a several-year run at Wean Park.
“Super proud of what we did at Wean Park, but Wean Park is a very flat piece of land,” Ryan said. “Here we are talking about a stadium.”
Ryan said Stambaugh Stadium is a concert venue that gives fans a unique experience
“If we took a laser beam and measured how far you are from the artist, the furthest from the stage is closer than most outdoor amphitheaters,” Ryan said.
Y-Live will also be taking place the same weekend as the Summer Festival of the Arts to create a lively celebration of music, art, culture and community this year. The Summer Festival of the Arts is scheduled for July 11 and 12 on YSU’s campus.
“You are going to have a lot of people walking around the Summer Festival of the Arts and then coming to the show that evening,” said YSU president Bill Johnson.
“The 20 to 40 thousand people that are going to be here can now consider Youngstown State University as they view the beautiful campus as a place to send their own children for a college experience,” said Youngstown Mayor Derrick McDowell. “It can take a concert that gets them on campus to make that college decision.”
McDowell says he hopes that the big name concerts will be an economic boom for the area.
“This means everything for us because we’ve got to get back to a downtown that delivers,” McDowell said. “This is what we talk about, and it’s on us to deliver an experience that helps sustain and build back and makes the downtown that much stronger.”
