Trent Tomlinson Performs Free Concert at Legends

on

Trent Tomlinson will bring his old and new music to the WQMX Free Concert showcase at Legends Sports Pub & Grille in Uniontown on Thursday, April 27.

Tomlinson made his way on the Country charts with Lyric Street Records in 2005 and released his debut album, Country Is My Rock in 2006. The album produced three Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart; “Drunker Than Me,” “One Wing in the Fire” and “Just Might Have Her Radio On.” The album made it’s way into the Top 20 and Tomlinson seemed to be on his way to a great career right out of the gate.

In 2008 Tomlinson signed a deal to record with a Lyric Street Records subsidiary, Carolwood Records. He then released, “That’s How It Still Oughta Be,” “Henry Cartwright’s Produce Stand” and “Angels Like Her” shortly before the closure of Carolwood. Tomlinson returned to Lyric Street before parting ways in March 2010. All three of the songs were included on an EP titled A Guy Like Me.

His next move was to return to songwriting, something he had done since he first made his way to Nashville. His solo written or co-written tunes include those he has written for George Strait (“It Just Comes Natural”); Sara Evans (“Missing Missouri”); William Michael Morgan (“Lonesomeville”) and a #1 for Parmalee (“Close Your Eyes”).

His current album released last fall, That’s What’s Working Right Now kicked off with the single “When She Goes There” and is following up with the title track. The latter is a welcome addition in the ever changing Country music landscape with it’s more classic country sound.

Trent Tomlinson will be performing for the WQMX Free Concert Showcase on Thursday, April 27 at Legends Sports Pub & Grille in Uniontown. The acoustic concert starts at 8:30pm and will be followed by a Meet & Greet with the artist.
