Just being back at a live concert was already enough to put a smile on your face, but then add the fact that Hardy reunited a soldier with his family on Friday (June 18) at The Country Fest, and it was enough to make you cheer and give you goosebumps.
In the accompanying video Hardy starts out by explaining that Richard Kelly had been overseas for 400 days and that his family was told that they were being honored at the event as a military family. As his new single “Give Heaven Some Hell” ends, Kelly walks out from backstage and surprised his family.
The video, which was shot and edited by Tim Doerfler, went live on Hardy’s social media on Monday, and since then, country stars like Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley and many more have given some heartfelt comments on the post.
Later this year, Hardy and Lainey Wilson will be the supporting acts on Jason Aldean’s Back in the Saddle Tour and will appear at Blossom Music Center on Oct. 15.
