Jimmie Allen Stops Fight During Dusty Armadillo Concert

on

As an up and coming country singer, Jimmie Allen is always keeping his eye on the charts, but he also keeps an eye on his audience. At his concert last Friday, Jan. 11 at Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, the singer spotted a fight and then had security escort those involved out of the club. (Watch fan video below)

Allen realized that the ruckus was causing a problem for those in the crowd and at first called out to the combatant by saying “relax,” but then called upon security to “just pick him up and get him out of here,” adding that it was “wasting everyone’s time.” The incident lasted a mere couple of minutes, but was handled well by Allen.

The 32-year-old Allen released his debut album Mercury Lane last October and the first single, “Best Shot” hit #1 on the country charts on Nov. 24 and stayed there for a second consecutive week on Dec. 1. The song’s return to #1 after falling to #2 marks the first time a Country Airplay debut has hit #1 for three weeks since Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” in 2012. Allen joins Darius Rucker as the only two black country singers to have debut country tracks hit #1 on the charts.
