Joe Vasquez and The Bourbon Gentlemen are getting ready to release their debut album Country Sounds on November 12 and will kick off The Country Sounds tour in 2017. Vasquez and his band have been working hard over the past few years to to hone their skills and make a name for themselves on the local and regional Country circuit around Northwest Ohio.
Though the music business may sometimes be very complicated, Vasquez and his band are ready to take their music to the next level. “We have had a lot of ups and downs these last few years, but no success comes easy, and the grind will beat you if you let it,” Vasquez explains. “We just want to keep building our audience and constantly improving our shows to give our new and current fans the best possible live music experience.”
Vasquez had been writing and singing for years before he and his brother Adam formed the band in 2014. The Defiance, Ohio based group has performed over 80 shows since this past March and has opened for Country acts like Craig Campbell, Jason Michael Carroll, Jon Pardi, Josh Thompson, and Chase Bryant along the way.
The new album contains ten tracks all written by Vasquez including the title track, “Place That I Call Home,” and “Someway Somehow.” Two previous singles, “Red Light Kiss” and “Another Summer Night” are currently available at iTunes and Amazon, as well as other online outlets. “Another Summer Night” has been featured on over 50radio stations throughout the US, as well as in Japan and New Zealand. It also has been featured on XM – The Highway.
In 2014 Vasquez’ songwriting helped him win the state competition for the Texaco Country Showdown and in 2015 he won a songwriting competition presented by Indi.com.
The Country Sounds album was three years in the making and Joe Vasquez and The Bourbon Gentlemen will finally get to celebrate it coming to fruition with their CD Release Party at The Quality Inn in Montpelier, Ohio on Saturday, November 12.
In 2017 the group will kick off their Country Sounds Tour that will also feature the TJ Gabet Band from Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Joe Vasquez and The Bourbon Gentlemen consists of members Joe Vasquez (lead vocals/acoustic guitar), Adam Vasquez (lead guitar/vocals), Marcus Poth (rhythm guitar/lead guitar/vocals), Ben ‘Wade Williams’ Lamson (bass guitar/vocals) and Jordan Turpening (drums/percussionist).
