Josh Ross to perform at WGAR’s St. Jude Jam at Thirsty Cowboy

Josh Ross has been making moves in Country Music. The Canadian singer moved to Nashville in 2019, and started the rise on both the Canadian and US charts. The former college football player utilized his knack for crafting emotional songs into a series of Platinum-certified Top 5 Canadian country radio hits. His powerful ballad “Trouble” rose to #1 in Canada, leading Ross to a CCMA Breakthrough Artist of the Year win.

Now breaking through in the US, the rising star has tallied more than 900 million career streams and been hailed as an Artist to Watch by Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, MusicRow, the Grand Ole Opry and more. Touring alongside artists like Nickelback, Brantley Gilbert and Bailey Zimmerman.

In July 2023, he made his debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. At the 2023 Canadian Country Music Awards, Ross was nominated in six total categories, and won the award for Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year.

In 2024, Ross released his songs “Single Again” and “Truck Girl”. Ross also embarked on his debut headlining tour “The Trouble Tour” in Canada in early 2024 and he joined Bailey Zimmerman again for his headlining “Religiously: The Tour.” Later in 2024, Ross embarked on his debut American headlining tour, the Single Again Tour.

On September 14, 2024 he returned to the Canadian Country Music Awards where he took home five awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year.

Josh Ross will be performing at the Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio on Friday, February 21st for a benefit concert for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital presented by WGAR – 99.5FM.
