One week after it’s initial planned opening, Morgan Wallen’s This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen in Nashville will open this Saturday, June 1st at 11am (CT). Located at 107 4th Avenue North, next door to the historic Ryman Auditorium, This Bar will open just before the start of the CMA Fest, one of the largest and longest running Country Music festivals.
“We’re thrilled to welcome our first guests on Saturday, June 1, to This Bar leading into CMA Fest,” states Grant Burlingame, vice president of operations at TC Restaurant Group. “This venue has been a labor of love for us and Morgan. His fans and music lovers alike will love the experiences they will find at This Bar. We’re proud to open its doors.”
After the opening, f0lks can stay up to date on the happenings at the new Nashville bar & restaurant on social channels and the MWThisBar website, and for updates on hours of operation leading into CMA Fest.
While many fans were thrilled about the announcement, a few expressed their disappointment that the bar did not open the weekend before. They shared their reactions in the comments on Morgan Wallen’s This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen’s Instagram post announcing the new opening date.
“Wish it was last weekend! Flew in from Utah to experience Nashville for the first time and was 💔 when it was announced last minute it wasn’t opening!!!!”
The delayed opening was caused by the Metro Beer Board, as they stated that they had not granted a catering or temporary beer permit for the bar since it had not yet received approval from the fire marshal and Metro Codes department.
Wallen partnered with owner and operator TC Restaurant Group to bring his vision to life and deliver an experience true to himself. Being a Tennessee native, This Bar incorporates visual art that shaped Wallen’s life, with each story of the building showcasing photos and memorabilia from his childhood and some of his most notable performances to date.
The venue will be approximately 30,000 square feet and feature three live music stages, six bars, and an open-air rooftop.
The menu was compiled by Wallen with Chef Tomasz Wosiak, Vice President of Culinary Development for TC Restaurant Group, and features southern specialties, Tennessee favorites and some of Mama Wallen’s own recipes.
The venue also features a gift shop with exclusive Morgan Wallen merchandise and, yes, even a spot to honor his favorite Tennessee team.
