Ohio Native Carter Winter Makes Stop at House of Blues in Cleveland

Carter Winter definitely has his own approach to his Country music.  His full sleeve tatoo’s along with his black t-shirt and jeans offer the appearance of many modern day acts, yet Winter still pays homage to those who have inspired him including George Strait and Garth Brooks.

Winter first started playing bars in his rural Ohio hometown and quickly grew a following of fans from California to the Carolina’s and everywhere in between. His natural Country voice led the way, along with his compelling live show and work ethic. He first became known for singing songs that were hits for Strait and Brooks, but found his own style which he incorporated on his first six-song independent release, Some Kind Of Fire which reached #15 on the Top Country Albums Chart.

Winter headed back to the studio last year with Grammy Award-winning producer Chad Carlson who has worked with Taylor Swift, Chase Rice and Cole Swindell and producer Mark Bright who’s credits include work with Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts. Winter’s sophomore release The Whiskey In Me blends the traditional Country sound with more contemporary tempo’s and beats. But the one thing that stands out is Winter’s rich vocals that have been compared to that of Josh Turner.

The Whiskey In Me broke into the Billboard Country Albums Chart reaching #34 behind songs like the fun and radio friendly “Lipstick On My Bottle,” a definite live crowd-pleaser aptly titled “Hit Song” and the title track. Winter will hopefully include those songs in his set when he performs at the House of Blues in Cleveland on Friday, January 20.

Opening the show for Winter at the House of Blues is Blaire Hanks who moved from a small town in Florida to Nashville in 2011.  Since then he has released three EP’s – his self titled EP released in 2014; his next titled Her came out a year later and made it’s way to #4 on the iTunes Country Charts and to #44 on Billboard and his latest EP, Mixtape was released last June.

Carter Winter will be performing at the House of Blues in Cleveland along with special guest Blaire Hanks on Friday, January 20. Showtime is 8:00pm. Tickets are $15/Advance and $20/Day of the show and are available Here.
