The 2018 CMA Awards nominees were announced early Tuesday morning (Aug. 28), with Chris Stapleton leading all contenders. Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay and Sugarland were on hand to announce the 2018 CMA Awards nominees which were broadcast live on Good Morning America from Bryan’s new 32 Bridge bar and restaurant venue in downtown Nashville.
Stapleton earned a total of five nominations for the 2018 CMA Awards, including Album, Male Vocalist, Song, Single and Entertainer of the Year. Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban each earned four nominations.
Scott Wynn and Sarah Kay of “Scott & Ssarah in the Morning” on WQMX 94.9FM in Akron were nominated for the Broadcast Personality of the Year (Medium Market).
The 2018 CMA Awards will broadcast live from Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 14 on ABC at 8pm (ET). Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are returning to host for the eleventh straight year. CMA Awards nominees —and the eventual winners are determined by more than 7,400 professional members of the Country Music Association including Cleveland Country Magazine Publisher/Editor, Charlie Kriak.
