About the band: Shawn Perry & The Hazzard County Rebellion may not be your typical Country band. The band really does their own thing and makes their brand of “American” music unique. As Perry puts it…”We are a gravy soaked, chicken fried version of KISS or Van-Halen, with equal parts Johnny Cash, U2, Big & Rich and Queen…(who are technically English, but who’s keeping tabs). I am not concerned about sounding like other country (or rock) artists. Frankly, I would rather eat my cowboy boots than sound like anyone else.”
The Vermilion, Ohio based Perry and his band have opened for countless artists over their career including Poison, Warrant, Guns-N-Roses, The Darkness, Slash, Creed, Korn, Megadeth, Puddle of Mudd, Papa Roach, P.O.D., Chimera, Chickenfoot, Motionless in White, Jackyl, Volbeat, Queensryche, Rob Zombie, Skillet, Thousand Foot Crutch, The Hollywood Undead, Steel Panther, Thin Lizzy, Michael Stanley, Killswitch Engage, Powerman 5000, Hellyeah, Demon Jones and many others. They have performed on the Fox 8 News Jukebox, and at Rocklahoma 2012 & 2013, Lock 3, and Rocking on the River.
Why you should see their show: If you’re looking for something different and enjoy music that is Country, hard rock, classic rock, Southern rock and a little hick-hop thrown in, then Shawn Perry & The Hazzard County Rebellion is for you. The band always “brings it” to their shows. The talented musicians that make up the group enjoy what they do, and that is apparent in their live shows which is complete with massive lights and amps.
