They say that hard work pays off. If that’s true, then Brooke Eden should be ready for big things in her country music career. The Florida native has been paying her dues playing over 500 shows over the past four years from small clubs to opening for some of country music’s biggest stars including Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson and Sugarland.
She made local appearances at the WGAR Country Jam in August and at the WQMX Guitar for Girls show along with Maren Morris and Brandy Clark last month. She will return to the area this Friday, October 21 at Thirsty Cowboy in Medina.
Eden earned the praise from critics and gained a fan following with her single “Daddy’s Money.” The blue collar anthem became the calling card for the pint sized singer and was reflective of her upbringing by her father who is a carpenter and part time player in a country band.
The singer released her debut EP, Welcome to the Weekend earlier this year and the single “Diamonds” has already been named a song of the week by Whiskey Riff and was placed on Spotify’s “New Boots” playlist. The girl anthem song shows off Eden’s ability to to vocally shine on the subject matter that her fans will relate to – waiting for the weekend to head out with her girlfriends for a night of drinking, dancing and flirting. The song also was featured on TLC’s series “Too Close To Home.”
Eden co-wrote all four songs on the EP that also include the heart-bending “Act Like You Don’t, to the emotional “Silence Speaks.” One her fan favorite’s of her live show, “Sunday Morning” makes it’s way on the EP, as well, and shows off her vocal strengths with subject matter that again speaks to her female fans.
Along with the accolades she is receiving for the new music, Eden has also been named one of Vogue’s “Ten Country “It” Girls,” one of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” and People Magazine’s “Seven Country Acts You Should Check Out.”
Brooke Eden will be performing at Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio on Friday, October 21. Tickets are $8 (plus fees) and are available at ThirstyCowboy.com.
