George Strait gave his fans at his Las Vegas shows last weekend (Dec. 7 & 8) a sneak peak of a couple of new tracks that will be included on his new album, Honky Tonk Time Machine.
The “King of Country” performed “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar,” which he co-wrote with his son Bubba and songwriter, Dean Dillon. Strait also performed “God and Country Music.” The latter drops names of some famous country songs and artist in an ode that shows that God and Country Music never change. Strait’s new album will be his first of new material since 2015’s Cold Beer Conversation. In 2016, Strait released a greatest hits package, Strait Out of the Box: Part 2.
Strait will be hitting the road in 2019 for some select shows, including the Buckeye Country Superfest on June 8 at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. More information and tickets can be found on the Buckeye Country Superfest website.
