WGAR has announced that Jake Owen is the headlining act for the 27th annual Country Jam which will take place on Saturday, August 18 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea.

Owen first hit the country charts with his debut single, “Yee Haw” back in 2006. The 36-year-old singer has gone on to chart 16 more songs with six that have hit the #1 spot including “Barefoot Blue Jean Night”, “Alone with You”, “The One That Got Away,” “Anywhere with You,”  “Beachin’,” and “American Country Love Song.”

The Florida native released his first Greatest Hits album in 2017, on Black Friday, November 24. The 13-track collection features two brand new songs co-penned by Owen – “Subliminal Love” and “Long As You’re In It.”

The WGAR Country Jam, which started in 1992 as the Cleveland Country Music Festival, will be adding more acts to the roster soon. Last year’s event brought Dan+Shay, Josh Turner, Thompson Square, Dylan Scott, Morgan Wallen, The Stickers and The Caliber Band to the Country Jam stage.

Tickets for the Country Jam are $43 (plus fees), but a special 2 for 1 deal is available while supplies last on the Country Jam ticket page.
