Karissa Ella has been making a name for herself with a voice that combines power, with a bit of a twang. Her previous releases have broken ground for the rising country artist, and her latest single, “Heartbreaker” is helping to make more moves in her music career. The song, written by Kasey Tyndall, Jeb Gipson, and Chase Bryant, pairs infectious lyrics, that tell a story, along with Karissa’s voice.
“This song is a reminder that sometimes a goodbye isn’t the end-it’s the beginning of becoming yourself again. I hope this song inspires listeners to love themselves enough to walk away from what no longer serves them,” said Karissa.
The North Canton, Ohio, native first released a self-titled EP after graduating from Belmont University in 2018, and has garnered positive reviews for songs including “Well Tequila,” “Whiskey Whispers Your Name” and “Hometown Bar,” which used Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, Ohio, for the backdrop in her music video.

Karissa has performed on the Dusty Armadillo stage, as well as many others, either headlining her own show or providing support for national artists including Martina McBride, David Nail and Tyler Hubbard, who she opened the show for at the Medina County Fair in 2024. She also had the honor of performing “He Walked on Water” for Randy Travis at the Country Rebel Ranch.
She will make her debut at The Country Fest at Clay’s Park Jellystone Resort in North Lawrence, Ohio on Friday, June 13th, sharing the stage with Tyler Braden, Zach Top and Dierks Bentley.

“Heartbreaker” marks another of the career milestones for Karissa, and follows the string of success she has seen with her previously released singles. Her voice coupled with the emotion of the song help to showcase a new versatile side of the singer/songwriter, on what seems a ready for radio release.
