About the Band: Broken Reins originally got together last November and played their first show in January 2017. Though the band itself may be a new addition to the local music scene, the members are experienced musicians who have all spent time in various Country and Rock and Roll bands and admired each others talents. It was only a matter of time before this group of musicians got together in a band. Webb and Pepey had played in a rock band together for several years and often discussed the possibility of forming a Modern Country band. They were quick to call upon the talents of other musicians, Criazzo and Bates, which they knew would be the foundation for a solid Country band. They all knew then that if they wanted to have a successful group they needed to add Coole, who brings his talent on a number of instruments.

The Warren, Ohio based band plays modern Country covers of everyone from Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan to Zac Brown and Keith Urban. When I last saw them perform their set contained a great mix of songs that were familiar to all and reflected the feeling of what a great a cover band does – set the tone for the performance while entertaining and staying true to the music.

Over the past months the band has performed at Califonia Palms, Morley Pavilion, Yankee Lake Bootleggers and the Lake Tavern Country Fest. They will perform to the River Rock at the Amp in Warren on Friday, August 4 and on Saturday, September 16 will travel to Medina for a show at the Thirsty Cowboy.

Why you should see his show: Broken Reins brings what you would want from a club act. Great Country music that is familiar to everyone and makes people sing a long and dance. The band has a wide range of musical influences which requires a group with multiple strong vocalists. They perform songs that are musically difficult to perform and other bands wouldn’t even attempt. Songs from such vocal powerhouses like Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett, which are hard to emulate, fit right into Broken Reins abilities. It’s like having your favorite songs from recent Country favorites on a streaming service, only performed live.

Websites/Socials/Videos: Follow Broken Reins and get show updates on Facebook, or Twitter or on Instagram. The band has also started a YouTube channel where you can watch more live videos of their performances.

Upcoming Dates: Friday, August 4 at River Rock at the Amp in Warren, Ohio (Ultimate Aldean show); Saturday, August 5 at Mosquito Lake Marina in Cortland, Ohio; Saturday, August 12 at Quaker Steak & Lube in Austintown, Ohio and Saturday, September 16 at Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio.
