Dolly has made impact on thousands of lives with her Imagination Library program, which has donated more than 100 million books since the program began in 1995. She also donated her own money to Hurricane Helene relief efforts after the storm left it’s devastation through Florida and the Carolina’s in September of last year.

Parton’s Dollywood also added an additional $1 million to the relief fund, donating to The Mountain Ways Foundation.

The East Tennessee native, stated that she wanted to help those in the community where she was raised. noted that she wanted to give back to the community where she was raised.

The Dolly Parton petition organizers have said that the petition is not against any politician, and they began working on this effort before the Trump proposal came together in January.  Tennessee Republican State Rep. Todd Warner filed House Bill 217, which would rename Nashville International Airport to honor Donald Trump.

Warner removed the bill from consideration prior to being heard by the House Naming & Designating Committee on Feb. 24.
