Sara Evans to Perform at Goodyear Theater

on

Sara Evans is an award-winning, multi-Platinum-selling country singer and songwriter who has been called “one of the most compelling vocalists of her generation.” Since she first hit the country music scene in the late 90’s, Evans has developed a reputation for delivering albums full of great songs brought to life by her very distinctive voice. She has that heart-in-the-throat type of quality that turned singers Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn into country music legends, couple that ability with a contemporary sensibility that keeps her at the forefront as one of today’s successful performers.

Evans will bring that quality of voice to the stage as she presents a special acoustic trio performance at the Goodyear Theater in Akron, Ohio on Thursday, September 8.

Evans has sold nearly 6 million records, and her first four albums have been certified Gold, Platinum or multi-Platinum. She’s scored five No. 1 hits, among them “Suds in the Bucket,” “Born to Fly,” “A Real Fine Place to Start,” “No Place That Far” and “A Little Bit Stronger,” from her chart-topping 2011 album Stronger. Evans has amassed a very impressive collection of awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year from the Academy of Country Music and Music Video of the Year from the Country Music Association for her groundbreaking clip “Born to Fly.”

Evans signed a new record deal last month with Concord Music Group to release her next album with the label Sugar Hill Records. The album due out in early 2017 will be her eighth studio album.

“I’m so excited to begin this next chapter of my career with the amazing team at Sugar Hill and Concord Music Group,” she said in a recent interview. “I appreciate how they allow their artists to have complete creative freedom in the music they make, and I love how they think outside of the box to find new and innovative ways to get that music to the fans. I’ve already begun writing and finding songs for the album, and couldn’t be happier with the direction it’s taking and what we’ve put together so far.”

Evans’ new duet “Infinite Love” with Todd Chrisley from Chrisley Knows Best is available through many streaming download services. She and some of her family members will also compete against the Chrisley’s on ABC’s Celebrity Family Feud on Sunday, September 11. Her prize money from the game show will support the life-saving research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Sara Evans will be performing at the Goodyear Theater in Akron, Ohio on Thursday, September 8 with special guest Bailey Bryan.  Showtime is 8:00pm.  Tickets are $40 – $250 and can be purchased at Ticketfly.com. You can also purchase tickets by phone at 877.4.FLY.TIX (877.435.9849).
