The Shootouts Grand Ole Opry Outfits part of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Exhibit

on

Northeast Ohio’s own Americana band, The Shootouts made their debut at the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on February 24, 2023. Now, those hand-made outfits they wore at the performance will make their way into another hallowed venue as part of the “Cleveland Rocks” exhibit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

“To play the Grand Ole Opry has been an absolute dream come true. It’s the Super Bowl of country music,” lead singer Ryan Humbert expressed.  “We’ve been thrilled to form such a great relationship with them, and it’s exciting every time we get asked back. To then have that acknowledged by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is beyond my wildest dreams. We’re proud of our rustbelt roots, proud to carry the torch for original country and Americana music, and we hope we can continue to make Northeast Ohio proud for many years to come.”

The outfits, which were crafted by Jen Boyne of J. Boyne Western Wear in Bedford, Nova Scotia, were custom-made to capture the spirit and style of The Shootouts’ music. Now, a portion of these outfits will find a new home in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where they will be celebrated alongside other legendary artifacts from Northeast Ohio’s rich musical heritage.

Since their debut Opry performance, The Shootouts have returned to the venue three additional times, in July and December of 2023, and most recently in January of 2024, further solidifying their status as one of the most exciting and promising acts in contemporary Americana music.

The Shootouts released their debut album, Quick Draw, in 2019 and followed it up with Bullseye in 2021. Their latest album, Stampede, distributed by Soundly Music, was recorded over five days in 2021 at Son of Moondog studio in Kent and produced by country legend Ray Benson, leader of Asleep at the Wheel, with his son Sam Seifert.

The Shootouts will be performing at the Hartville Kitchen in Hartville, Ohio, on May 23rd and will be back performing at the Grand Ole Opry on July 6th. For more information on The Shootouts and their upcoming performances, visit their official website at theshootoutsohio.com.
