Buck Naked Returns to Riverfront Concert Series

The Buck Naked Band has been entertaining music lovers of Northeast Ohio for the past five years and will make their return to the Riverfront Concert Series presented by IROK in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on Friday July 1st.

The Akron based group has become one of the Northeast Ohio’s premiere modern country groups and have been honored as two-time winners of the Fox 8 Hotlist “Best Band.”  The group is composed of members Kevin Evans and Arene Staszak on vocals, Mario Evans, Chris Wooding and Ryan Jones on guitar, Brian Armstead on drums and Ryan Jennings on bass.

The band has been keeping busy this summer with their show schedule and have been in the studio working on an EP that is scheduled to be released later this year.  They currently have two of their original songs on iTunes, “Coming Home Tonight” and “Whiskey.”

The Riverfront Concert Series performance on Friday, July 1st kicks off with special guests Karri Fedor & Kerosene at 6:00pm at Falls River Square in Cuyahoga Falls.

In addition to their show at the Riverfront Concert Series, Buck Naked will also be playing at The Cove Nite Club in Geneva on the Lake on Saturday, June 25th and The Wing Warehouse in Stow on Friday, July 22nd.

Riverfront Concert Series presented by IROK

The Riverfront Concert Series in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving proceeds back to local charities within the community. The group consists of all volunteers and utilizes the local Boy Scout Troops to collect aluminum cans at the end of all shows and they hope you will use the blue recycle bins around the venue.

The concert series happens every Friday night and is FREE admission and FREE parking. Food trucks and retail vendors are on hand every week for your enjoyment. The event starts at 6:00pm with all of the headliners finishing up by 11:00pm. A schedule of performances is available at their website RiverfrontConcertSeries.com.

Monica Robins & The Ninja Cowboys

The band has been staying pretty busy over the past month and is gearing up for more shows in July. Monica Robins & The Ninja Cowboys will be appearing at Chugger’s in Streetsboro this Saturday, June 25th and return to the Hard Rock Rocksino in Northfield for the Rockin’ Country Night at Club Velvet on Thursday, July 7th. The group will also travel to New London, Ohio to perform at the Rockin’ on the Rez on Saturday, July 9th; The Lantern Theater in Valley View on Saturday, July 16th and at Tony Maloney’s in North Royalton on Saturday, July 23rd.

Whiskey Loco

The Akron based band, Whiskey Loco, has been playing together for less than a year, but the modern country band has already built a great following and play shows like they have been together for years.

The group will play at the Quaker Steak & Lube on Dressler Road in Canton for Bike Nite on Wednesday, June 29th. Whiskey Loco will take the stage at 7:00pm and play until 10:00pm. In addition to the high-energy country show, you can also enter Quaker Steak & Lube’s 2016 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Low giveaway, courtesy of Freedom Harley Davidson in North Canton.

Whiskey Bound

The Wooster based Whiskey Bound band played to over 2,000 folks at the Lake County Speedway “Crash-Ocalypse” and are gearing up for more big shows. The band will be heading to Green, Ohio to play at the Whiskey Ranch CAK on Friday, July 1st and then will make their debut at Dusty Armadillo on Saturday, July 30th.

John Dillon Hardy

John Dillon Hardy has been performing since 1994 and continues to entertain at clubs all over Northeastern Ohio.  Hardy calls his music country with a little rock and soul.  He covers music from George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Conway Twitty, Tracy Lawrence, Eric Church, Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Lynard Skynard, The Eagles, Van Morrison and Waylon Jennings.

Hardy has played with a couple of different bands over the years and recently has started to do a one-man show.  He can be found at Razzle’s in Olmsted Falls on Saturday, June 25th and Friday, July 22nd; Thirsty Parrot in Downtown Cleveland after the Indians games on Sunday, July 10th and Sunday, July 31st; and at Harry Buffalo’s in Parma Heights on Friday, August 12th.

Brent Lowry & the Drifters

Brent Lowry & the Drifters may have just formed earlier this year, but this group of musicians has the experience, and it shows. The band was named Artist of the Month at Findlay, Ohio radio station WKXA 100.5FM, and they just finished recording their first EP which contains three tracks including the soon to be hit, “Sway Like a Willow Tree. ”

The members are Brent Lowry on lead vocals and guitar, Seth Lambert on lead guitar and vocals, Wade Wedge on banjo, mandolin, dobro, pedal steel and mountain dulcimer, Steve Geroski on bass and vocals and Andrew Lewallen on drums.

The Pemberville, Ohio based country band has shows booked all over Northwestern Ohio and Indiana, and are almost regulars at The Fishbowl in Put-In-Bay, Ohio where they will be performing On Thursday, June 30th, Monday, July 4th and Saturday, July 23rd.
