Being a country band in Northeast Ohio can sometimes be a juggling act. You need to have some of the classic country tunes in your set, but there are nights when contemporary country and a touch of rock and roll are needed to fill the bill. Mix that all with some original music with lyrics that reflect your Cleveland roots, and an eclectic mix of musicians who are ready to raise the roof at any venue where they perform.
For the second year in a row, Country Redford has earned the title of Best Country Band at the Cleveland Music Awards by encompassing all of those attributes and more!
The hard working band from Northeast Ohio originally formed in 2013, and has made a few changes to their lineup along the way. The current band members include Scott Redford (Vocals), Chris Preneta (Guitar), Aaron Yerman (Bass/Vocals), Vincve Provenzale (Guitar/Vocals) and John Carr (Drums).
The band has cultivated a loyal following with their music and stage shows, which is evident by all of the awards and accolades they have received over the past few years. The band has also garnered awards for Best Vocal for Redford, as well as their independent album releases.
The back-to-back wins at the Cleveland Music Awards last Sunday (Aug. 25) at TempleLive Cleveland is something that the band doesn’t take lightly, as Redford explained.
“Winning the Cleveland Award for Best Country Band in both 2023 and 2024 is an incredible honor,” stated Redford. “It’s a testament to our hard work and dedication, and we couldn’t have achieved it without our amazing fans. The support we’ve received from Cleveland has been overwhelming, and it means the world to us to share our music with such a passionate and enthusiastic city. We’re deeply grateful and excited to continue making memories together.”
