While so many music festivals are canceled for 2020 due to Covid-19, the Lynchburg Music Fest carried on their second year, this time with safety procedures and social distancing. The three-day event took place last weekend, Oct. 2-4 in Mulberry, TN with Josh Turner, Justin Moore and Kip Moore who headlined the more than 25 act roster.
Also appearing at the festival were Travis Denning, Danielle Bradbury, Tyler Farr, Riley Green and a surprise appearance by Lee Brice.

Lynchburg Music Fest appears to be the first large-scale, multi-day music festival held in Tennessee since the coronavirus pandemic silenced the concert industry in March. Last year’s inaugural event featured Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry and Joe Diffie — the latter of whom died of COVID-19 complications in March.

The three-day event, which also offers concert goers camping at the site, did add many regulations for attendees in order to provide a safe environment for everyone. “Masks are required in high-density festival areas with the exceptions being for eating, drinking or other situations approved by Lynchburg Music Fest,” stated the event’s website.

The site also added that temperature checks were required for all individuals upon entry, and “a significant increase in security personnel will be added to ensure social distancing practices near stages and across the festival grounds.”

The event, held in the home of the Jack Daniels Distillery, added a “Whiskey Row” and “Wine Circle” this year, offering concertgoers tastes from several distilleries and wineries from the area; a song crafters tent; a “Best of Fest” award with whiskey, wine, and food categories; and many local vendors for patrons to enjoy.
