Performers have to put in years and years of work before they can finally see the fruit of their labor come to fruition. For AC Jones (Amanda Jones) last week was one that will be remembered as one that finally saw so much finally come together for the Youngstown Country singer.
Jones and her Family Band have been performing for years from Ohio to Nashville. They have played the fairs, festivals and a long list of music venues along the way, and last week made her way to Scotland to perform at the Vamos Festival in Edinburgh. The three-day event celebrates American music of many genres, and Jones brought her Country music to their stage for performances on both Saturday and Sunday.
But, that was only a part of the week. On Thursday, it was announced that Jones was signed to independent country label, SSM Nashville Records. The Music Row company boasts an artist roster that includes talent with over 40 years experience and millions of records sold. Jones will join other SSM Nashville artists which include Andy Griggs, Branch and Dean, Alexandra Demetree, Redhead Express and Wes Hayden.
“Our format needs this quality of vocals and true showmanship that AC brings,” label President Patti Olsen-Garafola said. “Her depth of vocal talent is unparalleled.”
Jones released her debut CD in December of 2015 (under the name Amanda Jones). The CD titled The Road Less Traveled was a glimpse at the recording power of her vocals on music that explored themes of people having to make life-changing decisions, love, and more. The release led to radio and television appearances in many cities including Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
Jones will head back into the studio and record her first tracks for SSM Nashville and will release a single to Country radio later this year.
