Acts Announced for the Battle For The Jam

The Battle For The Jam will see six bands compete for a spot at this year’s WGAR Country Jam at the Thirsty Cowboy Saloon and a Main Stage appearance at the event in 2019. The competition begins on Thursday, July 5 at Thirsty Cowboy in Medina and preliminary rounds continue on July 12 and July 19. The two bands with the highest overall scores will return for the finals 0n July 26.

The Battle For The Jam will be hosted by WGAR personalities and is FREE to everyone, so come out and root for your favorite or just to enjoy some great country music. Doors open to Thirsty Cowboy at 7pm with the first band taking the stage at 9pm and the second at 10pm (official order of bands for each week has not been disclosed). The event is for ages 18 and over.

The WGAR Country Jam will take place on Saturday, August 18 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea. Jake Owen headlines this year’s event with featured acts that include Chris Janson, Tyler Farr, Jordan Davis, Jillian Jacqueline, Jimmie Allen, The Caliber Band and the 2017 Battle For The Jam winner, Styles Haury.
