Divergent Sound Series – Country Meets Symphony

on

The Canton Symphony has been bringing different genres of music together during their Divergent Sound Series. The concerts have already fused Hip-Hop and Folk with the strings and sounds of the orchestra during the first two dates. The next scheduled performance will bring Shooter Sharp & The Shootouts to the stage on June 21 at the Zimmermann Symphony Center.

Shooter Sharp & The Shootouts have been performing their classic country and honky-tonk music since their self-titled debut was released in 2016. The group has performed everywhere from the Akron Civic Theatre to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and recently traveled to Brooklyn, New York to lay down tracks for their upcoming album Quick Draw, which will be released later this year.

Divergent Sound Series – Country Meets Symphony at the Zimmermann Symphony Center on the campus of McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio on Thursday, June 21 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $5 and available at the Canton Symphony website. The venue provides a casual setting and a Cash Bar is available. *FREE admission with donation of a gently used musical instrument for the Summit’s Music Alive Program.
