The 7th Annual WQMX Chicks with Picks will bring Ashley McBryde and Abby Anderson to the stage for an intimate acoustic show on Wednesday, September 26 at 7pm. Both singers will be on the stage sharing stories and songs for the benefit concert.
McBryde’s song “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” was named one of the 54 Best Songs of 2017 by The New York Times, and one of the Top 25 Best Country Songs of 2017 by Rolling Stone. The song was is from her Warner Bros. Records Nashville debut album Girl Going Nowhere, which was released earlier this year.
Anderson was named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country for 2018 and a CMT Listen Up Artist – #18 for 2018. She has been touring and visiting country radio stations across the US in support of her debut single, “Make Him Wait.”
The Chicks with Picks concert is part of the WQMX Bosom Buddies which helps to benefit the Cleveland Clinic Akron General’s Muffins for Mammograms Program that provides
free mammograms to women & men who otherwise could not afford the testing.
Chicks with Picks featuring Ashley McBryde and Abby Anderson on Wednesday, September 26 at The Tangier in Akron (532 West Market St.). Show starts at 7pm. Tickets are $20 for General Admission and a limited amount of VIP tickets are $40 and include a Meet & Greet with the artists.
