Miranda Lambert headlines Blame My Roots Festival

on

When Jamboree in the Hills was canceled in 2018, a new country music festival emerged at Valley View Campground in Belmont, Ohio. Blame My Roots Festival had it’s inaugural season in 2019 with acts that included Trace Adkins, Tyler Farr, Gabby Barret, Joe Diffie and Ryan Hurd.

Though the 2020 event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers were happy to announce that Miranda Lambert would headline the festival in 2021 and close out the show on Saturday night, July 17.

Joining Lambert for the two-day event on July 16 & 17 are Lee Brice, Jamboree in the Hills favorite Neal McCoy, Jo Dee Messina, Tenille Townes, Niko Moon, Allie Colleen, Adam Doleac and Walker Montgomery.

Blame My Roots Fest Event Coordinator Chris Dutton said that he and his sister, Nina, are thrilled to bring Miranda Lambert to the Ohio Valley for both local and regional audiences.

“We targeted Miranda Lambert because the chances of seeing her are limited for this part of the country. For 2021, you’d have to drive 5 hours from the Valley to see her perform. We think this will help draw a great crowd! We just got lucky with her having so many CMA nominations this year.”

The event will include camping at the Valley View Campgrounds, which served as Jamboree in the Hills largest campground for the last 28 years.

“For the past four decades, my family’s campground has hosted tens of thousands of country music enthusiasts every third week in July,” Dutton said. “The traditions of those fans have permeated these grounds, so it only made sense to keep the spirit of country music in Belmont County alive right here. We’re proud of the venue our family has built; it feels like a natural transition.”

Camping will be mostly “primitive,” with a limited number offering electric hookups. Additional camping and parking will be available at West Pike Inn Campground & Motel.
